Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Limited Company has put into operation a poultry hatchery in Krong Buk district in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, its fourth facility in Vietnam.

The state-of-the-art hatchery covers 2.2 hectares and meets modern standards. With a closed process following Global G.A.P regulations, and a designed capacity of up to 40 million chicks per year, the factory can fulfill the demand for high-quality chicks for the central region, Central Highlands, southeastern region, and neighboring areas.

The firm's three other poultry hatcheries are in the northern province of Thai Binh and southern provinces of Binh Duong and Dong Nai.

Sanjeev Kumar, deputy general director of Japfa Vietnam, said the Central Highlands is a key strategic market in the firm's long-term plans thanks to its convenient location and proximity to the company’s feed mills in the neighboring provinces of Binh Phuoc, Binh Dinh and Binh Thuan.

“With the support of local authorities, Japfa Vietnam has entered a period of strong development with higher ambitions and goals,” he added.

Japfa Vietnam, under Indonesia’s Java Pelletizing Factory (Japfa), entered Vietnam in 1996 and became a 100%-foreign-invested firm in 1999. It now operates four poultry hatcheries, seven animal feed factories, 30 chicken farms, and provides over 100 million chicks to the market annually.
