According to the provincial Investment Promotion Center, the People's Committee of Phu My district has invited investors to develop infrastructure at the Trung Hiep and Trung Thanh industrial clusters.

The Trung Hiep Industrial Cluster is expected to span 61 hectares in Trung Hiep village, My Chanh Tay commune, while the Trung Thanh Industrial Cluster is set to cover 75 hectares in Trung Thanh 1 village, My Quang commune.

These industrial clusters will prioritize less-polluting manufacturing and processing industries such as agricultural and forestry products for export, construction materials, mechanical engineering, and garment production.

Once the provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to officially establish the two industrial clusters, the district People's Committee will develop criteria and calculate site clearance costs so that businesses can build project profiles.

Meanwhile, Dang Vinh Son, head of the Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority, said that currently, the unit is drawing up plans for Phu My Industrial Park and Hoai My Industrial Park.

"A 1/5000 planning scheme for Phu My IP is expected to be completed in June; while another, at a scale of 1/2000, for Hoa My IP is scheduled for completion by the end of May," Son added.

Previously, the Binh Dinh People's Committee approved the planning for Phu My IP, with a total area of about 840.5 hectares in My Tho and My An communes.

This will be a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park that attracts investment projects in industries under the socio-economic development orientation of the province and Phu My district.

In particular, priority will be given to clean industries that have little impact on the environment. This industrial park is expected to create jobs for 45,000 workers.

The provincial People's Committee also approved the cost estimate for making the 1/2000 plan for the construction of Hoai My Industrial Park in Hoai Nhon township, covering about 600 hectares.

With the view of constantly improving the quality of the business environment to become an "ideal destination" for domestic and foreign investors, Binh Dinh province has been focusing on developing and completing transport infrastructure throughout the province, as well as infrastructure for industrial parks and clusters.

According to the approved provincial master plan, Binh Dinh will have 15 industrial parks with a total area of about 6,700 hectares, and 68 industrial clusters spanning nearly 3,500 hectares.
