Tra Vinh province calls for investments in eight wind power projects
Vietnam’s Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh is calling for investments in eight wind power projects with a total capacity of 464 MW, part of its investment promotion program for 2024.
The projects are located in Duyen Hai district and Duyen Hai town. Duyen Hai district will be home to the 48-MW Dong Hai 3 wind power plant, 96-MW Duyen Hai 2 wind power plant, 48-MW phase 2 of V1-1 Tra Vinh wind power plant, and 48-MW Long Vinh wind power plant.
The projects in Duyen Hai town are the 48-MW expansion of V1-2 wind power plant, 48-MW phase 2 of V1-3 wind power plant, 80-MW phase 2 of V1-5 and V1-6 wind power plants, and 48-MW wind power plant No.3.

All projects adhere to the provincial master plan, and the latest power development plan VIII (PDP VIII), Tra Vinh authorities said.
Tra Vinh boasts renewable energy potential of 14,452 MW, including 13,424 MW of wind power, thanks to its long coastline of 65 kilometers, according to the provincial master plan.
Currently, Tra Vinh is home to nine wind power projects, of which five totalling 322 MW are operational and four are under construction.
