Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has appointed Do Thanh Trung, director of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's department for national economic issues, as Deputy Minister.
Trung, 47, used to be head of two divisions under the ministry's (MPI) local and territorial economy department.
In October 2018, he was appointed deputy director of the MPI's department for national economic issues, and later director of the department.
The MPI currently has Nguyen Chi Dung as Minister and four deputy ministers, namely Tran Quoc Phuong, Tran Duy Dong, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc and Do Thanh Trung.
