Despite downpours and a sudden cold spell, golfers continued to contribute to the 'Investors' golden heart' charity tournament on Saturday, playing their hearts out on every shot.
The second edition of the "Investors' golden heart” charity golf tournament was organized by The Investor in collaboration with Hyundai TC Motor on Saturday at Royal Golf Course in Ninh Binh province, northern Vietnam.
The tournament began with an opening ceremony before the players teed off.
This year, the charity event attracted 144 golfers from across the country.
The atmosphere was lively at the first hole.
Many female golfers took part in the tournament, adding to diversity of the day.
Golfers had to face very harsh challenges, including downpours and sudden strong winds, forcing them to temporarily halt play.
Despite the cold weather with temperatures suddenly dropping to 10 degrees Celsius, the golfers were in good spirits.
Players soon returned to action, even as the rain continued to fall.
Golfers continued to give their all on every shot.
Golfers wore warm clothes and beanies to compete in the cold conditions.
The atmosphere started to build on the back nine, as players dug deep to finish strongly.
Besides the goal of supporting disadvantaged people, especially poor students, to overcome difficulties and study well, the second "Investors' golden heart" tournament created a playground to connect domestic and foreign investors, businessmen, managers of ministries, agencies and localities, as well as the mass media.
Strong winds made conditions tricky, calling for absoulte focus on every shot.
The weather was harsh but the golfer's swings were still full of energy.
After more than five hours of intense competition, the second edition of the "Investors’ golden heart" tournament ended, closing out a successful day. The tournament this year raised VND650 million ($26,800), an increase of 30% as compared to the first edition. Golfer Nguyen Van Thanh, an entrepreneur from Ha Giang province, won the championship trophy.
