The second edition of the tournament will take place at the Royal Golf Course in Ninh Binh province, northern Vietnam.
The organizers said that the first edition was successfully organized in October 2022 by the publications in collaboration with carmaker Hyundai TC Motor, raising VND500 million ($20,000) for charity.
The proceeds have been used to offer scholarships for poor students with good grades in provinces and cities across the country.
Following the success of the first edition, this year, The Investor and Nha dau tu have continued their parthership with Hyundai TC Motor to organize the event, said Editor-in-chief Nguyen Anh Tuan, head of the organizing committee.
The annual event aims to support people living in difficult circumstances and talented poor students, as well as create a playground connecting domestic and foreign investors and businesspeople, he noted.
“With such a profound humanistic meaning, the tournament has received the attention and companionship of many golfers across the country, especially investors, with registrations exceeding the limit of 140,” said Tuan.
Along with last year's sponsors, there are also some newcomers, he said, adding the organizing committee believes that this year's tournament will be more successful than last year in terms of organization, proceedings, and investor networking.
"On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to sincerely thank co-organizer Hyundai TC Motor, sponsors and golfers for their noble gesture and companionship with this tournament," the editor-in-chief said.
The tournament will abide by R&A and USGA rules. Tee-off will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and the awards ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. the same day.
The organizers said that the total prize value is more than VND2 billion ($82,400), including two hole-in-one prizes: a Hyundai Santafe 2.2 Premium worth VND1.2 billion ($49,440) from Hyundai TC Motor and a set of 4-star Daiwa golf clubs from 7Golf, one of the largest golf supermarkets in Vietnam.
