Taiwan-based Ju Teng International Holdings Limited is set to kick off construction on a $200 million electronic and automobile component factory in Nghe An province on September 22.

Taiwan-based Ju Teng International Holdings Limited is set to kick off construction on a $200 million electronic and automobile component factory in Nghe An province on September 22.

The factory, named Juteng, will cover 120 hectares and is located in Hoang Mai I Industrial Park in the central province, according to the management board of Dong Nam Nghe An Economic Zone. The zone is currently home to five out of 11 industrial parks in Nghe An.

Of the $200 million in investment capital, investor equity would total 20% and the remainder, loans.

Nghe An granted investment registration certificate to the project in December 2021.The factory is scheduled to become operational at the end of 2023, employing 6,000-9,000 people.

The province attracted $580 million in registered foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first half of this year, the ninth-largest figure in Vietnam. Its registered FDI capital last year reached $318.52 million.
