The Investor held a ceremony in Quang Ninh province's Ha Long town on Thursday to launch its representative office in the northeastern region.
Located in the Cao Xanh new urban area in Ha Long, it is the media entity's fourth representative office after those in the southern, north-central, and south-central regions.
Editor-in-Chief Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the establishment of the northeast representative office is part of The Investor’s development plan for 2020-2025 approved by the Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises, which is aimed towards building The Investor into a multi-publication and professional media organization with in-depth coverage of business issues.
The new representative office aims to enhance information on investment and business activities in the region, especially the investment environment, investment potential and opportunities, investment successes, and lessons in various fields in Quang Ninh and surrounding provinces.
At the ceremony, the Editorial Board of The Investor announced the appointments of Vo Ta Quynh as head of the representative office, Dang Thi Nhung as permanent deputy head, and Nguyen Anh Trung as deputy head.
The event had the presence of Luu Dinh Phuc, head of the Press Department under the Ministry of Information and Communications, and Pham Thuy Duong, deputy head of the Information and Education Department of Quang Ninh's Party Committee.
Also at the event, The Investor’s Golden Heart Fund, in collaboration with HDMon Holdings Group, presented 100 scholarships worth VND50 million ($2,130) each to provincial students with difficult living conditions via the Study Promotion Association of Quang Ninh province.
The Investor, under the Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises, has three publications: www.nhadautu.vn, Nha dau tu print magazine, and www.theinvestor.vn which was launched in May last year.
