The tickets for the Jan 6-Feb 5 period are available on the Vietnam Airlines website, mobile app and official ticket offices and agents nationwide.

The first day of the 2023 Lunar New Year will fall on January 22.

The carriers have said they will increase the load on the routes connecting the three cities of Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City with localities across the country including Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Quy Nhon, Quang Nam, Pleiku, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

Along with domestic flights, the airlines will increase the number of flights connecting Vietnam with Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, South Korea, and also with Australia.

The total number of international flights they expect to operate for this occasion will nearly double compared with usual figures amidst loosened travel restrictions.

The carriers are offering special ticket fares from VND1.8 million to VND2.8 million ($120) per leg, including taxes and fees, for business class; and VND785,000 ($33.5) per leg for economy class.

Passengers who purchase tickets at least seven days before departure time can enjoy this offer.

The websites of two budget carriers, Vietjet and Bamboo Airways, have been offering tickets since mid-July for the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday.
