WHA Industrial Development International (SG) Pte. Ltd., a Thailand-based industrial estate developer, is keen to develop an industrial park project in the Vietnamese central city of Danang.

According to the Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority, authorities have received WHA’s application seeking investment policy approval and investor approval for the project.

The proposed industrial park will cover more than 400 hectares in Thang Binh and Dong Duong communes. It is planned as an eco-industrial park, reflecting Vietnam’s increasing emphasis on sustainable industrial development and green manufacturing.

WHA is among Thailand’s largest industrial estate developers and logistics infrastructure operators. The group has been steadily expanding its presence in Vietnam, covering industrial zones, logistics facilities, and smart industrial ecosystems.

The company is the investor of several industrial property projects in the country, including WHA Industrial Zone 1 Nghe An, WHA Industrial Zone 2 Nghe An, and WHA Smart Technology Industrial Zone – Thanh Hoa

Last July, Danang was merged with Quang Nam province to form the new Danang city. Danang now is home to 126 industrial clusters and 36 industrial parks.

In January-May, Danang lured $313 million in newly-registered foreign investment, 2.6 times higher than a year earlier, according to the municipal statistics office.

An International Financial Center, located in both Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, is taking shape.
