Developing an environmentally friendly, green and circular economy is a major policy of the Vietnamese Party and State during national industrialization and modernization. The 10-year socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030 emphasizes "Encouraging the development of circular economy models for integrated and effective use of the output of the production process".

The project to develop a circular economy in Vietnam, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 687/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2022, also stresses the need to "focus on promulgating long-term policies to encourage, incentivize, and facilitate the development of a circular economy based on raising awareness and proactiveness, promoting innovation and corporate social responsibility, and encouraging a responsible lifestyle of each individual towards the community and society."

In recent years, the trend of green and circular economy development in Vietnam has become increasingly evident, with the appearance of many practical models. To continue promoting strongly the circular economy towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050, it is necessary to have more comprehensive and fundamental awareness of this economic model. The media plays a very important role in contributing to this change in the business community and society as a whole.

"Circular Economy & Pioneering Models" is an initiative and effort of The Investor to disseminate knowledge, create social consensus, and contribute to promoting the development of a green and circular economy in the country.

The 540-page Vietnamese-English bilingual book gathers articles and research works by authors who are managers, reputable experts, and leaders of domestic and foreign businesses.

In particular, it introduces leading businesses and pioneering models in developing a circular economy in Vietnam. These models are receiving attention from the community, winning great support from a large number of consumers, and the book aims to share them more widely.

Editor-in-Chief of The Investor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, the main author of the book, said that with the participation of many authors, the book provides readers with basic knowledge about the circular economy, points out the necessity and urgent requirement for its development, proposes solutions to develop this and other pioneering models in Vietnam.

"We think that these models need to be replicated and that pioneering businesses and corporations in this field deserve to be honored."
