Binh Dinh is emerging as an investment hub in south-central Vietnam with many new projects in tourism real estate and production.

The management board of Binh Dinh Economic Zone recently approved a 30.44-hectare amusement park project named Dam Thi Nai in Nhon Hoi commune, Quy Nhon town.

The VND795.7 billion ($34.3 million) project, invested by construction company Phu Son Thuan Co.,Ltd., will feature amusement facilities like a water park, an aquarium, hot spring baths, a roller coaster system, adventure games, and paintball shooting.

The high-end entertainment complex is expected to help Binh Dinh, well-known for beautiful bays and beaches, to diversify tourism services.

Project construction is scheduled to commence right after land allocation and take about 36 months to complete.

Another newly-approved project is Get Weavin Co., Ltd.'s synthetic rattan furniture production project in Tan Duc industrial cluster, Nhon My commune, An Nhon town.

The $280,000 project is planned to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2023, producing 100 tons of products per year.

Binh Dinh licensed 29 investment projects worth $239 million in the first five months of the year, of which 22 are in production, four in trade, services and tourism, and three in real estate.

Binh Dinh is now home to 86 foreign-invested projects with a total registered capital of $1.09 billion. Of this, 38 projects worth $843.35 million are located in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone or industrial parks.

In the first five months of 2022, the provincial People's Committee met with many investors who came to learn about Binh Dinh's investment environment, including Nutifood Nutrition Food JSC, Tan A Dai Thanh Group, Vietnam Real Estate Cub, and Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Club.

Nguyen Bay, director of Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center, said that in the remaining seven months of the year, the province will focus on reducing red tape and accelerating infrastructure projects that would enhance connection to other provinces in the Central Key Economic Zone and northern Central Highlands provinces.

Local authorities are working to create favorable conditions for the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh industrial park project to be implemented.
