Binh Dinh province seeks investors for $61.5 mln waste-to-power plant
Vietnam’s central coastal province of Binh Dinh has given in-principle approval and is seeking investors for the Long My waste-to-power plant project with an investment of VND1.5 trillion ($61.5 million).
The 100.4-hectare project is set to have a daily capacity of processing 500 tons of solid waste.

Binh Dinh province has set a maximum price of VND430,000 ($17.64) for processing one ton of waste, including value-added tax (VAT) and other fees for handling residues such as ash. The fee is set to stay unchanged for the first three years of operation, then increase biennially in line with inflation.
The project, with a duration of 30 years, is located in the Long My solid waste processing area in Quy Nhon town of the central province. Investors have been asked to complete the project within 24 months from the date of approval as investors.
Currently, Binh Dinh province does not have a waste processing factory.
