Dong Nai province official subject to disciplinary action for dishonest declaration of assets
The inspection committee of Dong Nai’s Party Committee has proposed provincial Party leaders take disciplinary action against Nguyen Thi Giang Huong, Nhon Trach district’s deputy Party chief for “dishonest declaration of assets”.
Inspectors found that Huong, also chairwoman of the Nhon Trach district people’s committee, declared her assets dishonestly, violating the rules on Party members’ code of conduct, Anti-Corruption Law, and Regulation 69 of the Politburo on disciplining violating Party units and Party members.

Previously, over VND170 billion ($6.68 million) reportedly dissappeared from Huong's account. Initial investigations show that from March 3-11, 2024, a group of crooks used high technology to appropriate the money.
The investigations by the Ministry of Public Security and Dong Nai police are still underway.
In October last year, Le Duc Tho, a Party Central Committee member and Party chief of Ben Tre province, was expelled from all Party positions for his dishonest declaration of assets.
