Hanoi's first 'creative hub' debuted
Mailand Hanoi City was officially introduced as the first creative hub in Hanoi with the support of UNESCO and UN-Habitat.
The event took place along with the opening of the Home Hanoi Spring 2022 flower street during the lunar New Year holiday (Tet), from December 20, 2021 to February 6, 2022.
Hanoi was named one of 246 UNESCO Creative Cities in October 2019. The introduction of Mailand Hanoi City serves to develop Hanoi into a creative hub of the region and world.
Mailand Hanoi City, a new model urban center in the capital, is a place where planning and sustainable urban design meet cultural heritage. It will give priority to connecting heritage and regenerating the traditional ecosystem around the project in a modern form.
It was previously known as North An Khanh Urban Area, invested and developed by Posco Corporation Korea, a market leader in methodological construction.
The urban center is located in the western development corridor of Hanoi, about 15 kilometers from Hoan Kiem Lake and a 10-minute drive from National Convention Center.
It will form a design and creativity center to realize breakthrough ideas and support a young community with entrepreneurial aspirations. Besides, Mailand Hanoi City will build a Symbol of Creative City in consultation with UNESCO, UN-Habitat, and Unido to accompany Hanoi in joining UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in the 2021-2025 period.
The 300-hectare Mailand Hanoi City will have five core subdivisions with outstanding characteristics. In particular, Splendora includes mixed-use housing complexes, semi-classical villas, townhouses, and high-class apartments, with a system of utilities and modern facilities.
Other subdivisions contain Lumiere Square, which is considered the center of innovation and creative initiatives, intergrating Mailand Hanoi City with the UNESCO Creative City program. The Vong Nguyet Lake area has an ecological park, square, and golf course. Vinh Hoa Pho concentrates on Mailand's major commercial streets, as well as rich cultural amenities and identity. Finally, Regent's Park, which comprises eco-villas, and luxury, private residences for Mailand's future generations, is a location to experience first-class privileges.
During the event, Vietnamese investor An Khanh Joint Venture and Keppel Land, a pioneering Singaporean-backed real estate group, held a signing ceremony for an investment cooperation agreement.
Accordingly, Keppel Land and Keppel Vietnam Fund will collaborate to invest 49% of contributed capital in three component projects totaling more than 14 hectares to develop luxury villas and apartments in Mailand Hanoi City.
