HCMC bourse leader resigns to 'study abroad'
The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange has approved a proposal by Nguyen Vu Quang Trung to resign from his position as the bourse's deputy general director for "overseas studies", starting from Sunday.

Born in 1974, Trung holds a master's degree in financial economics from Australia's New South Wales University. He was appointed by the Ministry of Finance as a member of the board of directors and deputy general director of the HCMC bourse (HoSE) in August 2017.
Previously, Trung worked at the State Bank of Vietnam (1996-1997), State Securities Commission (1997-2004), and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) (2004-2017). At the HNX, he was head of several Securities Trading Center divisions, deputy director of the center, and then board member and deputy general director of the bourse.
Following Trung's resignation, the HoSE's executive board now includes Tran Anh Dao, deputy general director in charge of the board, and deputy general director Ngo Viet Hoang Giao.
