HCMC hosts Vietnam-South Korea business match event
At least 130 South Korean firms will attend the Vietnam-Korea business matching event held August 30-31 in Ho Chi Minh City, organizers say.

The event is co-organized by the Jeonbuk Centre for Creative Economy and Innovation (JBCCEI), Ho Chi Minh Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) and the Korea Trade Promotion Centre (KORETOVIET).
The event will allow Korean firms to exhibit their products in food, lifestyles, IT, cosmetics and other industries as they look for Vietnamese business partners. The expo is expected to attract 8,000 visitors and about 1,000 matchings, a representative of the event organizer said at a press meeting Friday.
Choi Jae-young, team leader of Jeonbuk Centre for Creative Economy and Innovation (JBCCEI), said that the expo will not only present opportunities for Korean firms to export their products to Vietnam, but also find Vietnamese trading and distribution partners.
Nguyen Viet Dung, director of DOST, said that the expo will contribute to boosting bilateral trade between Vietnam and South Korea.
Last year’s Mega US Expo in Ho Chi Minh City attracted 100 South Korean firms, 6,254 visitors and made 715 matchings.
