Indonesia’s two-wheeler export inches up in 2024
Indonesia exported 572,506 two-wheelers in 2024, a slightly increase from 570,004 units in the previous year, reported the country's Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI).
According to the AISI, the number of motorbikes exported in December only reached 55,537 units, lower than the 58,868 units recorded in the previous month due to many holidays.

In the domestic market, 6.3 million two-wheelers were sold in 2024, up from 6.23 million units in 2023.
Motorcycles using automatic transmission or scooter models dominated the domestic sales with the lion’s share of 90.39%. The rest were underbone models, or those using manual transmissions with a 5.4% share, as well as sports models with a 4.21% share.
