National Citizen Bank launches 'Tu Hao' Visa card to celebrate Vietnam’s 80th National Day
Vietnamese private lender National Citizen Bank (NCB) has officially launched the "Tu Hao" (Pride) Visa card to mark the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2).
This is NCB's latest financial product designed to honor Vietnam’s cultural and historical values, spread national pride, and contribute to bringing Vietnam closer to the world stage.
Patriotism – The core of development
Following the success of the "Thong Nhat" (Reunification) Visa card, NCB continues its innovation journey by introducing the Tu Hao Visa Platinum card as the nation prepares to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.
This also marks the bank's continued leadership in developing creative financial solutions inspired by Vietnamese pride and patriotism.
The Tu Hao card features bold Vietnamese elements: a vibrant red symbolizing the national flag and intricate bronze-gold motifs with two unique editions.
The Vietnam Pride edition offers a harmonious blend of history and culture, showcasing the map of Vietnam set against the iconic Dong Son drum patterns.
The limited National Day edition is specially released to commemorate the great national celebration. Its design captures the historic moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, marking the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
The card features the powerful declaration “Vietnam has the right to be a free and independent country – and in fact, it is so already.”

Every detail of the Tu Hao Visa card has been meticulously crafted by the NCB team, with the hope that whenever a customer holds the card, they feel a profound sense of national pride, heartfelt love for the homeland, and a desire to contribute to the country’s progress.
CEO Ta Kieu Hung said: “Patriotism and national pride live in the heart of every Vietnamese person. They are the driving force behind our nation’s progress. With the Tu Hao card, we aim to turn that sentiment into something tangible – a product that not only delivers financial benefits but also spreads the image of Vietnam, its history, spirit, and intellect to international friends.”
The Tu Hao Visa card is the next installment in NCB’s Tu Hao card series, specially developed for the year 2025. The first, the Thong Nhat (Reunification) Visa card, was launched on April 30 ahead of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025) and quickly gained popularity, attractingthousands of registrations via NCB’s digital platforms and hotline.
Distinct privileges, seamless global spending
The standout feature of the Tu Hao Visa card lies in its tailor-made benefits for cardholders, delivering both exceptional practical value and profound spiritual meaning, honoring national pride while promoting Vietnamese cultural and historical values to the community.
In addition to free issuance and no annual fee, cardholders will receive a welcome gift set including a passport holder, luggage tag, and airtag tracker, all proudly branded with “Tu Hao.”
Whether traveling for business or leisure, carrying your Tu Hao card and accessories means carrying a symbol of the homeland, taking Vietnamese pride and identity to every corner of the world.
Notably, the card offers one of the market's most competitive foreign currency conversion fees at just 1.5%, giving cardholders a cost-effective, secure, and seamless financial experience while abroad – a meaningful companion for international travel and business.

In addition, users will receive up to 10% cashback on purchases made during national holidays such as National Day, Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary, Reunification Day (April 30) – International Labor Day (May 1).
This one-of-a-kind policy reflects NCB’s commitment to speading traditional national values while creating meaningful financial incentives. With these attractive cashback programs, Tu Hao cardholders can receive up to VND5 million ($190) per month for eligible spending.
In a uniquely impactful initiative, for every VND1 million ($38) spent using the Tu Hao card, VND3,000 ($0.11) will be automatically added to a charity wallet on NCB’s iziMobile app.
Customers can use this wallet to donate directly to trusted organizations such as the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and other NCB-affiliated charitable funds for charity, thus spreading the Vietnamese tradition of sharing and solidarity.
The Tu Hao card is equipped with all modern payment functions such as contactless payments, online and virtual card options, multi-layer security including OTP and 3D-Secure, and global acceptance at millions of merchants worldwide.
Customers can easily apply for the Tu Hao card via NCB’s iziMobile digital banking app with instant approval, or directly at any NCB branch nationwide.
More than just a card, Tu Hao is a bridge of patriotism and unity. Each transaction, each trip, and each experience with the card carries a piece of Vietnam’s image and contributes directly to spreading national pride and compassion.
This is a unique combination of financial benefits and spiritual, cultural and historical values, personal benefits, and social responsibility – a pioneering approach in NCB’s new growth strategy for a new era of national development.
To commemorate the launch of the Tu Hao card, NCB has also partnered with renowned vocalist Divo Tung Duong and composer Nguyen Van Chung to release the music video “Vietnam - Proudly Marching Into the Future.”
Composed exclusively to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, the song features stirring lyrics and a vibrant, powerful melody that resonates like a national call to action.
Upon release, it immediately topped multiple charts and became a cultural sensation, inspiring listeners with a renewed sense of unity and ambition for Vietnam’s future.
