Tran Van Minh, Deputy Inspector General of the Government, passed away on Saturday morning due to a stroke.
Minh was taken to a hospital in Hanoi for emergency treatment at 6:30 a.m., and doctors tried to save him for three hours but failed.
Tran Van Minh, 56, from Quang Ngai province, holds a doctorate in economics.
In January 2019, when holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, he was appointed Deputy Inspector General of the Government.
Previously, he had been director of a department under the Central Inspection Committee.
