Vinh Phuc province officials disciplined for investment project violations
Dozens of officials in Vinh Phuc province have faced disciplinary actions by the Central Inspection Committee for violations related to investment projects.
The violations occurred in implementing a number of investment projects, including those carried out by AIC Company, FLC Group, and Phuc Son Group, according to a release from the committee on Wednesday.
"Some officials and Party members showed degradation in their political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; accepted bribes; declared personal assets dishonestly; and violated the regulations on Party members’ code of conduct and responsibility to set an example as leaders," the release stated.
The committee added that the violations caused very serious consequences and losses to the State to the point that they must be disciplined.
The officials who received warnings included Nguyen Van Tri, former chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; vice chairman Vu Chi Giang; Nguyen Kim Khai, former vice chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Ba Huy, head of the provincial Party Committee’s organizing board; Dinh Ngoc Khoa, former director of the provincial Police; Le Van Kien, director of the Department of Transport; Khong Son Truong, director of the Department of Labor; and Nguyen Kim Tuan, director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Others were director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Thanh Tung; director of the Department of Construction Nguyen Duc Tai; director of the Department of Information and Communications Do Huu Vinh; Tran Gia Long and Nguyen Ba Hien, former directors of the department; director of the Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Do; former director of the department Do Dinh Viet; Nguyen Van Bac, former director of the Department of Justice; and Bui Minh Hong, Nguyen Cong Loc, Nguyen Xuan Phuong, former heads of the provincial Industrial Park Management Board.
The Central Inspection Committee also reprimanded Tran Van Vinh, former chairman of the provincial People’s Council; vice chairman of the council Nguyen Trung Hai; Phan The Huy, head of the provincial People’s Council Office; and Le Van Phuc, director of the provincial Tax Department.
Responsibility also rested with former Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan; former standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Hoang Anh; and former chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Duy Thanh, the committee noted.
Lan, Thanh and Hoang Anh have been detained on charges of receiving bribes in the Phuc Son Group scam.
