Hai Phong launches $32 mln warehouse project

Hong Kong-backed JD Future Explore V Limited has embarked on developing a warehouse at the Non-Tariff Zone and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in Hai Phong, northern Vietnam’s biggest port city.

Hong Kong-backed JD Future Explore V Limited has embarked on developing a warehouse at the Non-Tariff Zone and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in Hai Phong, northern Vietnam’s biggest port city.

The project, named JD Property Logistics Park Hai Phong 1, is invested by JD Future Explore with total capital of $32 million and set to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.

It covers around 97,000 square meters of land, with rental areas ranging from 5,000 to 55,000 sqm. Once completed, it will be able to cater to the needs of investors in diverse industries.

Nguyen Thanh Phuong, General Director of Sao Do Group, which developed the Non-Tariff Zone and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, said, "JD Future Explore's initiative is part of a strategy to develop a green industrial park with logistics services and infrastructure. It will create a full-service ecosystem, including seaports, warehouses, ready-made factories, and so on, to meet the growing demands of new investors."

JD.com Group is one of China's leading e-commerce groups and a major shareholder in Tiki.vn.

Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park is linked to a seaport system and logistics network. Located about 120 kilometers east of Hanoi, Hai Phong is the biggest coastal city in the northern region and one of the nation's major economic centers. 

The city is one of five centrally managed cities, together with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and Danang.
