Nam A Bank approved to list on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the main bourse of Vietnam, has approved the listing of Nam A Bank as NAB, effective on Thursday.

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the main bourse of Vietnam, has approved the listing of Nam A Bank as NAB, effective on Thursday.

Previously, the ticker was listed on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM). With the price of VND10,000 ($0.41) per share, 1.06 billion NAB shares are now listed on the HoSE with a total value of VND10,580.4 billion ($435 million).

In May 2023, the HoSE received the bank’s application for listing on the bourse. Nam A Bank has become the only lender to change its listing to the HoSE this year.

Nam A Bank, which officially began operations in 1992, is one of the first joint stock commercial banks established after the Banking Ordinance was issued in 1990.

As of September 30, 2023, the bank's total assets value stood at VND206.75 trillion ($8.53 billion), up 19% year-on-year. In the first nine months of this year, the bank made a post-tax profit of VND1,632 billion ($67.3 million), up 10.2%.

NAB shares rose 1.97% to VND15,500 ($0.64) each at the close on Friday. NAB shares has doubled this year, from VND7,468 per share on January 2, the first trading session of 2023.
