Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reprimanded Le Anh Duong, chairman of Bac Giang, and Phan The Tuan, vice chairman of the northern province for violations and shortcomings while performing duties.

The committee concluded that Party leaders at the Bac Giang People's Committee had violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, lacked responsibility, and showed loose leadership and direction, allowing the people's committee and several organizations and individuals to violate the Party's regulations and the State's laws in procurement, management and use of biological products, chemicals, materials, and medical equipment for the Covid-19 fight.

These violations led to risks of causing great loss to the State budget and bad public opinion that affected the reputation of Party organizations and the local administration.
