At a Thursday meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Ankara, leaders of IC Holdings and its subsidiary IC ICTAS expressed their interest in taking part in big-ticket transport infrastructure projects such as railways and metro lines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

IC ICTAS, which led a consortium comprised of other nine Vietnamese firms, in August beat two rivals to win a contract to build the $1.44 billion passenger terminal of Long Thanh International Airport.

The IC Holdings executives also expressed their satisfaction with their progress in Vietnam and committed to a long-term presence in the country.

PM Chinh asked them to spare no efforts to carry out the project effectively and on time.

The PM invited IC Holdings to join other major projects and explore opportunities to invest in other realms of its strengths and Vietnam’s needs, particularly roads, maritime, and aviation infrastructure, industry, energy, tourism, and smart cities.

He also pledged to give all possible support for foreign firms to partake in critical infrastructure projects in Vietnam like expressways, airports, seaports, high-speed railways, subways, and metros.

At a Vietnam-Turkey business forum in Ankara the same day, Cagatay Ozden, Asia-Pacific department head of Turkey’s trade ministry, said that many Turkish firms with strengths in various infrastructure areas including airports and seaports are eyeing cooperation opportunities in Vietnam.
