Nestled by a quiet lagoon, the one-bedroom Spa Lagoon Villas is surrounded by lush rainforest, with a separate spa treatment room that comes fully equipped with a steam room, sauna and two massage tables for couples’ treatments.

An in-villa 60-minute massage per person is included for two guests of the villa. An elegant outdoor deck also features a deeply soothing open-air Jacuzzi, overlooking the lagoon, forest and mountains.

Designed by renowned innovator Bill Bensley, the interiors include a master bedroom set in a separate overwater pavilion for the ultimate sleep, while the living space is fitted with the latest home comforts and features direct access to the outdoor terrace, offering plenty of space for alfresco dining and relaxation, it said on its website.

Built on the hills of Son Tra Peninsula in Danang, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort comes with a private beach stretching 700 meters and an infinity swimming pool.

The resort has 201 luxurious rooms, suites, penthouses, and villas that offer views of sandy beaches and tropical forests covering Son Tra Peninsula, which acts as a natural shield for Danang.

World Spa Awards is the most prestigious awards program in the spa tourism industry and serves to celebrate and reward excellence in spa tourism. Each year World Spa Awards encourages the spa and wellness industry to enter one of the many available categories for nomination.

Entries are free of charge and checked and vetted to ensure each nomination qualifies for the selected category. The decision of World Spa Awards is final.

Vietnam was voted Asia's best spa destination at the awards this year.

Danang, famous for its long, sandy beaches and the Golden Bridge, is a popular tourism hub in central Vietnam.

U.S. magazine Condé Nast Traveler recently named the coastal city among 11 best places to visit in 2024, based on readers’ votes.

Danang has received over 1.6 million foreign arrivals so far this year, up 5.8 times year-on-year.

Last month, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, TIA Wellness Resort, and InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in central Vietnam have won in different categories at this year’s Destination Deluxe Awards that “honor the leaders and pioneers in wellness and travel”.
