Three Vietnamese resorts named among world’s best for wellness retreats

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, TIA Wellness Resort, and InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in central Vietnam have won in different categories at this year’s Destination Deluxe Awards that “honor the leaders and pioneers in wellness and travel”.

Located on Ninh Van Bay, around 60 kilometers from the beach resort town of Nha Trang, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay was named the winner of the ‘Eco-hotel of the Year’ category.

The resort has 62 villas surrounded by lush greenery and is one of the few resorts in Vietnam that is home to troops of critically-endangered black-shanked douc langurs.

The only way to access the resort is by boat, which takes around 20 minutes.

Creative Healing Retreat at TIA Wellness Resort in the central city of Da Nang was the runner-up for “Wellness Program of the Year”.

TIA Wellness Resort on My Khe Beach in Da Nang is an ideal spot to boost wellness and has 87 rooms.

The resort has 22 spa treatment rooms, two beauty care rooms, a steam room, a sauna, and an outdoor swimming pool.

The Mi Sol Journey package at Mi Sol Spa of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Da Nang won the "Holistic Treatment of the Year” category.

“Mi Sol Spa, named after the tones in the musical scale, explores the powers of vibrations and sounds to deliver the ultimate restorative experience,” it says on its website.

Built on the hills of Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, the resort comes with a private beach stretching 700 meters and an infinity swimming pool.

The resort has 201 luxurious rooms, suites, penthouses, and villas that offer views of sandy beaches and tropical forests covering Son Tra Peninsula, which acts as a natural shield for Da Nang.

The Destination Deluxe Awards span 25 categories and are evaluated by a group of 20 judges, who are well-respected industry experts.
