Noi Bai, Danang airports named among 100 best airports worldwide

Vietnam's Noi Bai International Airport and Danang International Airport are in the list of the “Top 100 Best Airports in the World in 2024,” according to Skytrax rankings.

Noi Bai airport, located on the outskirts of Hanoi, is ranked 96th this year, up from 127th in 2023. Danang airport in the central region climbed to the 94th place, improving from 111th last year.

The rankings are determined based on the opinions of millions of passengers from over 100 countries. Key criteria include terminal service quality, convenience, comfort, language skills, and the service attitude of staff.

Both Noi Bai and Danang airports have seen continuous improvements in passenger service quality and infrastructure. Recent upgrades include a range of new amenities, enhanced service standards, and comprehensive staff training programs aimed at enriching the passenger experience.

Many important measures have been applied at the two airports such as coordinated management and decision-making at airports and airfields. Information technology solutions have been increasingly applied to solve the problem of increasing passengers exceeding the design capacity of the two terminals. Non-aviation businesses and taxi companies are required to commit to ensuring service quality and strictly punishing violations.

The World Airport Awards began in 1999, when Skytrax conducted its first global airport customer satisfaction survey. The awards are considered a quality standard for airports worldwide, evaluating customer service and facilities at more than 500 airports.
