Northern Vietnam province to complete site clearance for Samsung-Apple supplier Goertek next month
Vietnam’s northern province of Bac Ninh aims to complete site clearance for the Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Park project before the Lunar New Year (Tet) Holiday, to facilitate investment of Chinese electronics giant Goertek.
Bac Ninh Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan made the suggestion at a Monday meeting on the site clearance. Tet holiday 2025 will last from January 25 to February 2, 2025.

The industrial park has seen site clearance for 220 hectares out of the total 306.4 hectares completed, said the facility investor Kinh Bac City.
It currently struggles to process site clearance for three farming land lots of 25 hectares and one defense land of 1.2 hectares, it added.
Tuan emphasized that meeting the site clearance deadline will help provincial authorities approve another investment registration certificate for Goertek in Q1/2025 and facilitate Goertek to begin constructionin Q2/2025.
Goertek, a supplier to Samsung and Apple, started investment in Bac Ninh in 2013 with a project in Que Vo Industrial Park. In 2023, the firm expanded its investment to Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Park.
In Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Park, Goertek said it would set up a subsidiary with an investment $280 million, according to a January report.
