Phu My fertilizer wins Vietnam’s golden brand award
A fertilizer produced by Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) – NPK Phu My 20-10-10+TE – has been awarded the "Vietnam Golden Agricultural Brand 2024" title.
The honor recognizes the positive contributions that the product has made to advancing the nation’s agricultural sector, company executives said.

The award program was launched by the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development in March. After nearly seven months of hard work per approved regulations, the Central Selection Council chose 88 brands and products from 420 agricultural products nationwide.
Company executives said the NPK Phu My fertilizer was produced using the most advanced technology from Europe, fixing the shortcomings of conventional NPK production methods.
The nutrients and chemical components are packaged within a single fertilizer granule, allowing plants to absorb nutrients in an even and balanced manner, they added.
Additionally, the technology ensures that the nutrients are tightly bound together, reducing evaporation and leaching, thereby increasing fertilizer efficiency and enhancing economic returns for farmers.
It was no surprise that the Phu My NPK product line has gained increasing trust among farmers across the country, the execs said.

Stressing the work that has gone into making the Phu My NPK 20-10-10+TE, they said extensive research and adjustments were done by PVFCCo to suit different crops, soil types and ecological zones.
The result was production of small granules that dissolve quickly for rapid absorption, a high nitrogen (N) content, balanced phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), and adequate trace elements (TE), ensuring rapid growth and strong development of plants. This product was especially suited for the growth stage of sugarcane and durian shoots.
Besides, the small, fast-dissolving granules was suitable for dry-season fertilization in the Central Highlands, benefiting crops like coffee and pepper.
In addition to providing balanced nutrition for crops, the product helps plants withstand harsh weather conditions, thanks to the trace elements in each granule.
Motivating factor over the years, the "Vietnam Golden Agricultural Brand" program has gained increasing attention and support. It has helped many localities and businesses bring their agricultural brands, products, seeds, and agricultural equipment closer to consumers, boosting market consumption and increasing value.
This has helped both companies and farmers earn significant revenue, contributing to poverty alleviation and accelerating new-style rural development.
PVFCCo, a subsidiary of state-owned giant Petrovietnam, aims to produce more than 1 million tons and sell nearly 1.4 million tons of fertilizer and chemicals this year, expecting total consolidated revenues of VND12.76 trillion ($511.32 million) and pre-tax profits of VND660 billion ($26.45 million).
Listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) as DPM, the stock closed Tuesday at VND34,650 ($1.39) apiece.
