A series of significant summer tourism events and festivals are set to revitalize Danang and Hue, Vietnam's top tourist attractions, after over two years of pandemic fallouts.
Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022 will take place from June 11 to August 15, with three main themes: enjoying music, the sea, and local cuisine.
Large-scale events include world-class art performances, epic dances, concerts like "Take Me to the Sun," "Street Carnival Sun Fest," "Electronic Dance Music (EDM) International Festival," and "DJ Show", and culinary programs.
The summer festival's highlight will be a fireworks display at weekends at Sun Wheel in Hai Chau district's Asian Park, a world-class amusement complex owned by Sun Group.
On June 25, the city will hold “Danang Investment Forum 2022” to introduce its investment opportunities to local and foreign investors.
Known for Southeast Asia's most beautiful beaches, Danang hosts some of Vietnam's top luxury resorts like The InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Fusion Maia, Pullman Danang Beach Resort, and the newly-launched Da Nang Mikazuki luxury resort and spa complex.
The city, frequently referred to as the most livable in Vietnam, is located near several UNESCO world heritage sites, namely ancient town Hoi An, Hue Citadel, and My Son Sanctuary.
In neighboring Thua Thien-Hue province, Hue Festival 2022, with the theme “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, will take place from June 25 to 30.

The event will be part of a culture and art week, gathering nearly 400 performers of 15 domestic and international art troupes from seven countries.
The festival comprises a variety of activities, such as art programs during the opening ceremony, street carnivals, and music performances featuring well-known songs by composer Trinh Cong Son, widely considered as Vietnam's best songwriter.
The new feature of Hue Festival 2022 is that the program’s stages will be placed not only at the UNESCO-recognized heritage Complex of Hue Monuments, but also in communal areas along the banks of Huong River, a famed attraction, and sections running through central Hue.
A food festival, hot air balloon event, Vietnam Summer Fair 2022, and a stand-up paddle board competition will also take place in various locations along the signature Huong River.
This year's festival is associated with four seasons of festivities for the first time.
Only separated from Danang by Hai Van Pass, Hue is famous as an ancient capital with traditional rituals and culture.
The town is home to five UNESCO-recognized heritages including The Complex of Hue Monuments, Court music - Vietnamese Royal Music, Woodblocks of Nguyen Dynasty, Documents of Nguyen Dynasty, and Royal Literature on Hue Royal Architecture.
