The Anam Mui Ne among Southeast Asia's most stunning beach hotels for 2023
The Anam Mui Ne in Phan Thiet town has been named among Southeast Asia's top 6 most stunning beach hotels opening in 2023 by Bloomberg.
The hotel, located at 18 Nguyen Dinh Chieu street, Phan Thiet town, Binh Thuan province and owned by Vietnamese hotelier Pham Van Hien, made its debut in January, 2022.
Phan Thiet, known for beautiful beaches, is one of the top tourist attractions in Vietnam.
"The Asian windsurfing hotspot Mui Ne, also known for its fishing village, is poised for growth, with a new expressway soon cutting the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to just 2.5 hours," Bloomberg wrote.
It commented: "That’s good news for Anam Mui Ne, a beachfront resort designed to evoke the Indochine era with detailed local woodwork, statues, mosaic tiles and lanterns, as wells as paintings commissioned from Vietnamese artists."
"This is the second property from an independent Vietnamese luxury brand; the first is located in Vietnam’s south-central coastal city of Cam Ranh," it added.
In December, the hotel had been named among the "best hotels to book in 2023" by cable news channel CNN.
"There's something special about its elegant Indochine-inspired design: think hand-laid mosaic tiles and cornice detailing, statues on plinths, clawfoot bathtubs and leather-bound tables," CNN wrote.
Each of The Anam's 127 rooms feature original paintings by Vietnamese artists to tell the country's story. Even the woodwork is handcrafted by local craftspeople using wood sourced from sustainable Vietnamese harvests, according to the news channel.
"More than just a luxury hotel, The Anam is a love letter to Vietnam," it described.
The other hotels in the Bloomberg list are: Cap Karoso, Kimpton Naranta, The Pavilions Anambas, LXR Hotels & Resorts (Indonesia) and Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach (Thailand).
