TheraVet signs product distribution deal covering Vietnam, 23 countries

Belgium-based TheraVet, a biotech company specializing in osteoarticular treatments for companion animals, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Vetpharma for the former’s Biocera-vet product range in 24 global markets including Vietnam.

The 23 other markets are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea.

Vietnam is among the six “selected Asian countries”, TheraVet announced from Belgium on Tuesday.

Altogether, the agreement covers the 24 markets representing over 150 million dogs, said TheraVet, which is listed as ALVET on the Euronext Growth exchange in both Brussels and Paris.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vetpharma will leverage its 46-year experience in the marketing of veterinary products to promote and distribute these items.

“The Biocera-vet range of products allows us to expand our offer with new, innovative, and highly effective solutions for veterinarians, as well as contributing to improving the quality of life of our pets,” Jose Maria, Vetpharma’s managing director, said in the announcement.

These products are efficient bone substitutes indicated in bone surgeries where a bone graft is required, according to TheraVet.

Vetpharma is the veterinary division of Chemo, part of the Barcelona-headquartered Insud Pharma group, which provides animal health solutions.
