US, Vietnam to intensify comprehensive partnership
U.S. President Joe Biden and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh have agreed to further boost the two countries' comprehensive partnership, and increase dialogs at all levels.
The two leaders, during their meeting in Phnom Penh on November 12 within the framework of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits, affirmed they treasured and gave high priority to their comprehensive partnership.

In the short term, the two governments would coordinate to properly prepare for the coming phone talks between Vietnam’s Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong and President Biden, and work to arrange high-level mutual visits at suitable points of time when possible, the Vietnamese government's portal said.
Biden suggested the two countries continue to promote vigorous cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties.
The Vietnamese PM conveyed Party chief Trong’s and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s invitations to Biden to visit Vietnam. The U.S. President accepted and promised to make it at a proper point of time.
In another meeting with South Korea’s President Yoon Suk-yeol in Phnom Penh Saturday, PM Chinh called on Korea to further support Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization process.
In his meeting with his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong, Chinh suggested Singapore support Vietnam in building a digital platform and promoting digital transformation.
He also expected the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Co., a joint venture between Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries and Vietnamese industrial developer Becamex, to further expand its Vietnam presence; and Singaporean businesses to incorporate "greenness and sustainability" into investment projects across Vietnam in the time to come.
Also in Phnom Penh, PM Chinh and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese agreed Saturday to effectively implement the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy to open the market wider to shipments from both countries.
