VAFIE inks deal to promote Vietnam-Germany trade, investment

The Vietnam’s Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE) and German partners on Thursday signed an agreement on cooperation in trade-investment promotion and vocational training.

The signatories were the VAFIE, Hanoi-based Devis JSC, and Germany vocational training service providers Leipziger Gesellschaft für Bildung und Arbeit mbH, and Avestos HR UG.

Under the deal, the parties agree to connect cooperation activities between small and medium enterprises of Vietnam and Germany; and collaborate in vocational training in the two countries, including training lecturers and teachers of the German language.

They will also provide consultations and job opportunities for skilled Vietnamese workers to work in both Vietnam and Germany.

The areas of cooperation in the initial phase include building specialized project teams in Germany and Vietnam; sharing economic information and market research; cooperating with economic associations in the two countries.

Organizing business delegations, conferences and seminars on investment project development as well as exchanging and sharing expertise between businesses of the two countries, both online and in person, are also on the agenda.

The parties will jointly implement vocational training under the German dual training model; cooperate in surveying and evaluating the German and Vietnamese markets; develop plans and projects to analyze financial needs; and offer German vocational training in Vietnam for selected occupations.

In addition, they will provide investment consultations for businesses of the two countries when they intend to invest or move their companies to Vietnam or Germany as well as distribute products and services in the two nations; sign and implement contracts for investment consulting services, training and enrollment; and distribute profits based on the contribution and responsibility of each party.
