Vietjet launches first direct route connecting Hanoi to Phuket
Vietnamese budget carrier Vietjet on Friday inaugurated the first direct route connecting Hanoi to the "beach paradise" of Phuket, Thailand.
The daily flight will take off from Hanoi at 11:30 a.m. and land in Phuket at 2:40 p.m. The return flight will depart Phuket at 3:45 p.m. and arrive in Hanoi at 6:35 p.m.

Hanoi is famous for 36 old streets, villas dating back to French colonial times, beautiful lakes, and street food. Phuket attracts tourists with stunning beaches, special eat and stay experiences, adventurous outdoor and exploring activities. From Phuket, tourists can quickly go to other famous islands like Koh Phi Phi and Koh Samui.
Vietjet currently has the biggest number of routes connecting Vietnam to Thailand, from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang city, Dalat, and Phu Quoc island to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and vice verse.
The budget airline on April 13 launched a new route connecting Sydney with HCMC with three return flights per week. Flights depart Sydney on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and return from HCMC on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In January, the carrier opened a new direct route connecting HCMC to Melbourne.
In mid-March, Vietjet said it will launch the first-ever direct flights connecting Vietnam to the Australian state of Queensland this June. The airline will operate services between HCMC and Brisbane Airport from June 16 every Monday and Friday.
