Vietnam’s Bamboo Capital signs EPC contract with China firms for waste-to-energy project
Vietnam’s Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) and two Chinese companies have signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the former’s Tam Sinh Nghia waste-to-energy plant project in Ho Chi Minh City.
The signing ceremony took place in HCMC last week in the presence of executives of BCG, SUS Environment, and Power China International.

Zhu Xiaoping, COO of SUS Environment, said the cooperation among the parties in the project is expected to make a significant contribution to Vietnam's environmental protection and energy transition.
Phase 1, with an investment of VND6.4 trillion ($256.6 million), will enable the waste-to-energy plant, located in Cu Chi district, to incinerate 2,000-2,600 tons of waste per day, equivalent to 20-25% of the city's waste discharge.
BCG Energy, a subsidiary of Bamboo Capital Group, acquired Tam Sinh Nghia Investment and Development Company on January 31, 2024, officially entering the waste-to-energy sector.
BCG Energy started construction of the Tam Sinh Nghia plant in July, aiming to address the city's growing waste management challenges while generating clean energy.
