200 billionaires to attend Art for Climate Festival in northern Vietnam
Around 200 billionaires are expected to attend an Art for Climate Festival that the United Nations Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (UnASDG) is jointly organizing early next year in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
UnASDG Ambassador-at-large to Vietnam Hans Joachim Radtke revealed this on Friday during a meeting with Cao Tuong Huy, deputy Party chief and Chairman of Quang Ninh.

In addition to this major event, the international non-governmental organization is also exploring potential investment opportunities in sectors like education, fisheries logistics, clean energy and waste management, he said.
Radtke also expressed his hope that Quang Ninh will create favorable conditions for UnASDG to facilitate investment opportunities and support foreign businesses operating in the province.
Appreciating the interest shown by UnASDG and international investors in Quang Ninh, Chairman Huy affirmed that the province is a prime destination for strategic investors. The locality has attracted nearly 200 investors from 20 countries with a total investment of around $16 billion, he noted.
Quang Ninh is the only province in Vietnam with both land and sea borders with China, positioning it as a gateway between ASEAN and China. The province also boasts well-developed infrastructure, including highways, an international airport and a deep-water seaport, thereby facilitating large international flights and luxury cruise ships, Huy added.
“Quang Ninh is committed to providing a transparent, business-friendly environment with efficient public services to ensure the long-term and sustainable growth of investors,” Huy asserted.
He directed relevant agencies to work closely with UnASDG and local firm Thai An Holdings in ensuring the success of the Art For Climate Festival in Ha Long town.
Huy noted it is a high-profile event with significant potential to attract investment as also promote the image of a dynamic, developed and appealing province, which is home to the UNESCO-recognized world heritage Ha Long Bay.
UnASDG supports governments and partners in monitoring and implementing projects that promote sustainable investment in fields such as technology, urban planning, environment, humanitarian aid and finance.
