67% of Vietnamese travellers seek sleep-focused tourism: Booking.com
Up to 67% of Vietnamese travellers surveyed seek vacations focused solely on uninterrupted sleep in 2024, while the figures for mainland China and Japan are 83% and 51% respectively, according to Booking.com.
"In an era where stress and sleep disorders are on the rise, sleep tourism emerges as a transformative solution that fuses the allure of travel with the essential need for quality sleep," the travel site wrotes.
According to Booking.com’s Travel Predictions 2024 research, nearly two-thirds (66%) of Asia-Pacific-based travellers want to travel in 2024 to solely focus on uninterrupted shut-eye.
This trend is particularly strong in mainland China where 83% of travellers seek vacations focused solely on uninterrupted sleep. Hong Kong and Thailand follow closely with 76% and 75% respectively, while Vietnam ties with Singapore at 67%.

With this in mind, Booking.com has curated a list of some serene destinations that foster relaxation and allows travellers to prioritize their well-being, leaving them feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Da Lat town, Vietnam
