Bamboo Airways chairman resigns from FLC Group board member position
FLC Group is set to propose its next general meeting of shareholders dismiss Le Thai Sam, chairman of Bamboo Airways, from the position of board member per his wish, the firm announced Friday.
The AGM timeline is unknown.
Sam, born in 1964, graduated from the National Economics University of Ho Chi Minh City in 1986 and has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of real estate, trade and finance-banking.
He currently owns over 50% of the private carrier's charter capital. On July 12, Sam was appointed board chairman, replacing Oshima Hideki who took the position of standing vice chairman.

Sam once gave FLC unsecured loans of VND620 billion ($26.1 million).
In early May, FLC agreed to transfer more than 400 million shares in Bamboo Airways to Sam. After that, Bamboo Airways announced that it was completely independent from FLC Group.
Bamboo Airways reported a loss of VND17.6 trillion ($748 million) in 2022, about $84 million higher than the combined figure of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, VND15.62 trillion ($664.1 million).
