Central Vietnam city seeks investors for $209 mln LNG, LPG terminal project
The central city of Danang is calling for investment in an LNG and LPG terminal project worth over VND5.43 trillion ($208.7 million).
Located in the Lien Chieu port area, the project aims to develop infrastructure for LNG and LPG storage and supply for the region and the country, and support the growth of specialized logistics systems.

The project includes six berths. During the 2025-2030 period, one to two berths (1-2 piers) will be developed, with a length ranging from 250 to 750 meters, capable of accommodating vessels of up to 100,000 DWT (deadweight tonnage).
The accompanying infrastructure system includes storage tanks, warehouses, and auxiliary facilities.
The project aligns with national plans on development of gasoline and gas storage and supply infrastructure, as well as the power development plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The total planned area for the project is 62.29 hectares, divided into two main functional zones: the southern part (2 LNG/LPG berths), covering more than 42.48 hectares; and the behind-breakwater part (4 berths to be developed after 2030), covering over 19.81 hectares.
Danang authorities have also adjusted the previously-approved VND45.26 trillion ($1.74 billion) Lien Chieu container port project, with 100% private investment capital and eight container terminals.
The project includes a yard, 1.5 km railway connection, a warehouse system, an operator building, and technical infrastructure. It is located in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district.
