Central Vietnam province seeks investments in logistics and environment
The central province of Quang Ngai is looking for investment in 33 projects between 2024 and 2025, with a focus on transportation, the environment, and healthcare.
The provincial People's Committee has authorized an investment list for a series of "breakthrough" projects to be implemented between 2024 and 2025, according to Quang Ngai province's Department of Planning and Investment.
There are four projects in the health sector, five in tourism, six in the environment, 10 in urban infrastructure, six in industrial park development, and two in the industrial sector.
One of the environmental projects is an integrated waste treatment complex covering more than 65 hectares in the Dung Quat Economic Zone. Quang Ngai province expects the project to address the issue of garbage treatment, specifically industrial trash from enterprises in the zone.
The Quang Ngai Waste Power Plant project will span roughly 17 hectares in Tinh Phong commune, Son Tinh district.
Quang Ngai is also calling for investment in a solid waste treatment complex project in Duc Pho town, which will cover more than 17 hectares in Pho Nhon commune.

In the health sector, the province calls for investment in four projects in the towns of Duc Pho, Tu Nghia, Binh Son and Quang Ngai.
In particular, Quang Ngai encourages investment in a variety of warehouse and products transshipment projects. It can be referred to the Urban-Service Area south of Chu Lai Airport, which includes the airport's logistics services. The province has planned an area of up to 270 hectares in Binh Thanh commune, Binh Son district, which is projected to attract investment.
According to the provincial People's Committee, since the beginning of this year, the province has lisenced one FDI project totaling around VND10 billion ($400,640). In addition, the province has granted in-principle approval for two domestic projects totaling VND1,800 billion ($72 million) in registered capital.
Vo Phien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, said the province will prioritize calling for investment in large projects with strong spillover effects.
