Bruno Jaspaert, CEO of Deep C Industrial Zones, has been appointed chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Vietnam.

Dominik Meichle replaces Dominik Meichle, who has stepped down as chairman of the chamber and managing director at Bosch Vietnam to take on a new position of Bosch in the United States.

Bruno is based in the port city of Hai Phong, northern Vietnam, and originates from Belgium. He has been the CEO of Deep C Industrial Zones, one of the largest industrial zone developers in Vietnam, for over six years and a member of the EuroCham Vietnam advisory board for the past four years.

“His strong and long-lasting involvement with EuroCham ensures continuity and stability, reinforcing the chamber's strong ties with Vietnamese authorities and other key stakeholders,” EuroCham Vietnam said in a release late Monday.

Bruno’s leadership is set to drive EuroCham’s advocacy, sustainability, and development initiatives in 2024, building on the chamber's strong foundations, it added.

In addition to Dominik’s departure, board members Fanny Haniquaut and Anita H. Holgersen have also stepped down to assume new positions in Europe. They have been succeeded by Bruno Jaspaert and Didier Martin, general manager of pharma for Sanofi Vietnam.

Additionally, Alexander Götz, former chairman of the German Business Association (GBA) and general manager at Fischer ASIA, has replaced Dominik Meichle as EuroCham board member.

Founded in 1998, with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, EuroCham Vietnam has represented the European business community in the Southeast Asian country. The chamber plays a crucial role in shaping policy dialogues, fostering bilateral trade and investment, and fortifying economic ties between Europe and Vietnam, particularly within the framework of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

EuroCham has over 1,400 member companies, solidifying its position as one of the largest foreign chambers operating in Vietnam.
