Danang plans 1,300 hectare airport urban area
Danang plans to develop an airport urban area including the city airport, a modern logistics cluster and urban areas.

The Management Board of Da Nang Traffic Construction Investment Projects is seeking opinions on planning for such a zone at the scale of 1/2000.
Accordingly, the zone, covering 1,326 hectares, includes four major parts: Danang International Airport, the gateway area to the east of the airport, the southern urban area, and the northwest urban area.
The goal is to maximize the airport's potential as a logistics hub, while taking advantage of the airport's central location to develop the zone into a public hub in Danang.
Based on the adjusted general planning project of Danang city to 2030, with vision until 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in March 2021, the airport urban area belongs to the city's green core zone.
Currently, this area is home to many projects being and about to be implemented as well as those that await zoning plans.
In September, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam had proposed that the Cat Bi, Van Don, Danang and Chu Lai airports be allowed to expand their capacities by 2030 and 2050.
The Danang airport in the central eponymous city has a current capacity of 10 million passengers a year. The proposal says it should be able to serve 25 million passengers by 2030 and 30 million by 2050.
Danang, the business and tourism hub in central Vietnam, is well known for Southeast Asia's most beautiful beaches.
