De Heus, Vietnam partners start 3 agricultural projects worth $24 mln
Dutch agribusiness De Heus and its Vietnamese partners kicked off the construction of three agricultural projects worth VND620 billion ($24.3 million) in the southern province of Tay Ninh on Monday.
The three projects are part of a high-tech agricultural supply chain to export chickens per European standards.

Green Chicken, a local business founded by De Heus, and its Vietnamese partner, started the construction of DHP food processing complex.
The VND300 billion ($11.8 million) project covers 14.2 hectares in Trang Bang township and has an annual capacity of 18.7 million poultry heads, equivalent to 6,000 heads per hour, in the first phase.
Besides, Vietnamese agricultural giant Hung Nhon Group, De Heus, and De Heus-backed Bel Ga kicked off the construction of DHN 2 and DHN 5 high-tech chicken farms in Tan Chau district, serving both domestic and foreign markets.
The 25-hectare DHN 2 has an investment of VND120 billion ($4.7 million). The project has a capacity of 800,000 broilers per year.
The 25-hectare DHN 5 has an investment of VND200 billion ($7.9 million). It has an annual capacity of 196,000 breeding chickens, equivalent to 20 million eggs.
Speaking at the event, Hung Nhon Group chairman Vu Manh Hung said the three projects are part of a 12-project collaboration worth VND10,000 billion ($392.3 million) between Hung Nhon and De Heus.
De Heus started investing in Vietnam in 2009 and now operates 23 factories, including 14 ones acquired from Vietnamese conglomerate Masan. The figure includes 17 animal feed plants.
