Dong Nai province okays 4 FDI projects worth $37.5 mln
Dong Nai province, an industrial hub in southern Vietnam, granted investment certificates to four foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of $37.5 million on Thursday.
China’s Shenzhen MTC Co., Ltd. received a certificate to build a $24-million factory in Nhon Trach II Industrial Park to manufacture televisions, digital signal conversion devices, LEDs, locators, and others.

China-based Jiawei Technology will invest $5.5 million in building a factory in Nhon Trach II Industrial Park to manufacture lighting bulbs and components.
Liechtenstein-invested Tietex Vietnam Company Limited will invest $4 million in building a factory in Nhon Trach II Industrial Park for the production of shoe lining.
Japan’s Yamashiro is the investor of a $4-million plant DNY Plastic plant in Long Duc Industrial Park as a supplier for major producers of vacuums, air purifiers, fridges, and air conditioners.
Speaking at the investment certificate handover ceremony, Dong Nai Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang are all in the high-tech sector and will help the province’s industrialization and modernization process.
Dong Nai attracted FDI of $1.29 billion in the first 10 months of this year, the eighth-highest figure among all localities in Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment. As of October 20, the province had attracted FDI of $36.43 billion in 1,884 valid projects, the fourth-highest figure in Vietnam, only behind Ho Chi Minh City, the neighboring province of Binh Duong, and Hanoi.
On average, in January-October, FDI projects in Dong Nai’s value was $6 million per hectare while employment reached 111 workers per hectare.
