Ho Chi Minh City-based Newing, a consulting firm specializing in leadership development and organizational transformation, is expanding its global network of experts to support Vietnamese enterprises, with Shweta Shukla, former Netflix HR executive, appointed as strategic advisor.

In this role starting from Monday, Shukla will spearhead initiatives to connect international experts and help elevate consulting standards and organizational transformation capabilities for Vietnamese businesses.

With over 25 years of experience in human resource management and organizational development, Shukla has held regional leadership positions at global companies including Netflix and Facebook. She brings deep strategic insights and extensive hands-on experience in leading transformation efforts in fast-paced, culturally diverse environments.

The partnership with Shukla marks a significant step in Newing’s long-term strategy to bridge Vietnamese businesses with international experts who have led large-scale organizational transformations.

She will also play a key role in expanding Newing’s expert network across Singapore and other major Southeast Asian markets, the firm said in a release.

Founded and based in Vietnam, Newing’s consulting model is tailored to address the unique challenges and aspirations of Vietnamese businesses, empowering leadership teams to shift behaviors, reshape organizational culture, and drive meaningful performance from within.

As of mid-2025, Newing has partnered with over 50 businesses across Vietnam, delivering long-term consulting and capacity-building programs to more than 1,000 leaders and 30,000 employees. Notable clients include VNG and ABC Vietnam.

As strategic advisor, Shukla will lead regional expert engagement and co-develop Newing’s consulting methodology to support businesses on their transformation journeys.

At Netflix, she led the Asia Pacific HR strategy during a high-growth phase, managing a team of more than 50 HR professionals.

Previously, she held senior HR roles at Facebook and most recently served as head of HR at Lenskart (India), where she built operational systems and scaled the organization to support a rapidly growing team of over 200 employees.

“Vietnamese businesses are entering a new chapter - not just to adapt, but to lead. I’m honored to join Newing in helping elevate leadership capabilities and transform organizational behavior for ambitious Vietnamese companies,” said Shweta Shukla.
