The price of RON 95-III gasoline went up VND70 to VND21,490 ($0.91) per liter, while that of E5 RON 92 went down VND60 to VND20,410 ($0.86).
The price of diesel increased by VND450 to VND18,610 ($0.79) a liter; and that of kerosene went up VND400 to VND18,320 ($0.77) per liter. Mazut oil went up VND660 to VND15,280 ($0.65) per kilogram.
For the latest price adjustment, concerned authorities continued to refrain from using the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund.
Vietnam's consumer price index (CPI) in June rose 0.27% from May, according to the General Statistics Office. The major reason cited was rising food and electricity prices due to prolonged hot weather conditions and state utility Vietnam Electricity (EVN) adjusting the average retail price of electricity.
