The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) officially awarded the LEED Platinum v4.1 green building certification to Gelex Tower on November 15, recognizing its commitment to sustainable development.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, issued by the USGBC, is a globally recognized standard for evaluating green building practices. It uses a transparent and rigorous rating system to measure buildings’ environmental performance across four levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. To date, Vietnam boasts eight office buildings that have achieved the prestigious LEED Platinum certification.

Gelex Tower, located in Hanoi, is one of only three office buildings in the capital city to earn this top-level recognition. The building meets strict evaluation criteria across several key categories, including location and transportation, sustainable development practices, water efficiency, energy performance, material selection, indoor air quality, and innovation in design.

Gelex Tower exemplifies sustainable operation by optimizing system performance to enhance energy and water efficiency. Its exterior features high-performance insulated glass that minimizes heat absorption while maximizing the use of natural light. This design reduces energy consumption for cooling and lighting while creating a comfortable workspace.

The building also integrates green spaces and ensures a fresh air supply system throughout all office areas, providing a clean and healthy working environment.

Situated at 52 Le Dai Hanh street, Hai Ba Trung district, Gelex Tower occupies a prime location in one of Hanoi's key administrative and cultural hubs.

Spanning a total area of 18,300 square meters, the building features 22 floors and three basements, making it an attractive option for leading domestic and international enterprises seeking modern office spaces.

With its LEED Platinum certification, Gelex Tower elevates Hanoi’s office rental market, offering high-quality, sustainable spaces that meet the needs of discerning tenants.

"Gelex Tower focuses on delivering exceptional experiences to our tenant community through thoughtfully designed spaces and a sustainable working environment. We aim to build a business community that integrates and grows sustainably," said a Gelex Group representative.

This achievement reflects Gelex Group's long-standing commitment to sustainability. By investing in environmentally friendly practices and adhering to global green building standards, the company contributes significantly to Vietnam’s journey toward achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

Gelex Tower’s success underscores the role of green building certifications in shaping a more sustainable and innovative future for Vietnam's urban landscape.
