Hai Phong begins construction of $38.5 mln industrial center
Construction commenced Tuesday on the $38.5 million GNP Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Center at the Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in the northern port city of Hai Phong.
The investor, Hong Kong-invested GawNP Industrial - a provider of warehouse and factory spaces, and EPC contractor Hailong Construction JSC said they were committed to putting the facility into operation in July 2023.
The 17-hectare industrial center, with a built-up area of 100,000 square meters, can provide ready-built factory, warehouse and industrial space solutions of at least 2,500 square meters.

Hai Phong now operates 14 industrial parks and plans to build 15 more covering 6,148 hectares by 2025.
Hai Phong has already kicked off construction of two industrial warehouse projects: JD Property (Vietnam) Logistics Park Hai Phong 1 and Core5 Hai Phong.
In mid-May, Hong Kong-invested JD Future Explore V Limited began implementing the JD Property Logistics Park Hai Phong 1 at the Non-Tariff Zone and Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park. The $32 million project is also set to be completed in the second quarter of 2023. It covers around 97,000 square meters of land and its rental area can span 5,000 to 55,000 sqm.
The Core5 Hai Phong will provide 96,000 square meters of factories and warehouses of international standards for lease at the Deep C2 Industrial Zone. IndoChina Kajima, a joint venture between Vietnam's Indochina Capital and Japan’s Kajima Corp., expects work on the facilities to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.
GawNP Industrial, a unit of GawNP Capital and a leading investor in industrial properties in Vietnam, announced in March a plan to invest $500 million in the country, aiming to expand its industrial land in the Southeast Asian nation by 100 hectares this year.
